Shelby and Cricket Children's Books
Donations to The ShelbyR Foundation help publish and send books to children!
Shelby and Cricket children’s book series are filled with sweet adventures and beautiful original artwork illustrations.
Cricket is based on a persona that Shelby created during her treatment for pre-B ALL (Leukemia). She would become quiet, sitting very still and whispering she would say, “I’m Cricket.”
Shelby’s fight with cancer lasted for six months. She relapsed three months into treatment as we watched her lose her ability to eat, stand and to walk and completey lose her precious sight. Shelby never lost her spirit. She taught us about life, love and the amazing human spirit. She continues to “awe” us with signs she sends from heaven; she is an amazing little angel.

Awareness
Our goal is to make society aware of childhood cancer and the affect it has on children. We hope to show the courage and pain of the children in this fight, their unwavering determination to live, the daily trials they endure. It is real.
The ShelbyR Foundation provides education to community organizations through an awakening PowerPoint presentation which includes Shelby's journey, facts about childhood cancer, pediatric palliative care information and The ShelbyR Foundation's mission and how to help spread the word.
The Shelby and Cricket children's book series helps make children and thier parents aware of childhood cancer by introducing Shelby, her imaginary friend Cricket and Leukemia.
