The ShelbyR Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. TSRF was founded in August 2008 by loving parents, Kimberley and Omar Rodriguez  in honor of their daughter Shelby Belina and her brief and magical life of 2 years and 8 months.

Shelby battled Leukemia for over 6 months at Children's Medical Center Dallas. During the course of Shelby's battle with Leukemia she was not able to eat, she could no longer walk or stand and her sight was completely lost. So much could be written about the harsh reality of those days and nights. There was the constant throwing up, the terrible pain in her hips and legs, the day to day struggles and the loss of a normal childhood.

The ShelbyR Foundation stands in honor and in awe of Shelby's spirit. She fought so hard to live. She played with all her heart and used her wonderful imagination on her good days despite her limitations.
She listened to her favorite movies and never complained that she could not see them. She sang with all of her might and energy. She lived and she loved. She touched the lives of everyone around her.
TSRF is a grassroots effort, a true labor of love.  I have discovered through this journey of community service that I am helping to heal myself and bringing meaning and purpose to my life while honoring Shelby's spirit.
